    Good times there Shocker.

In the same tree as this morning. Fresh deer tracks in my boot tracks, so that's cool. Mainly after does. Nice SW wind.

To be honest I’m not sure why I’m out here. I guess it just drives me crazy to be sitting in the house when it’s deer season and I live in the woods.

Still, I haven’t seen a deer since I got home nor have I gotten a single daylight deer pic in that time.

I believe it’s just a matter of time though.

Well, this sit is all but over.

My wife was gone on a short hike with her Aussie Kaya when I went out the gate, crossed the road and went to my tree. Of course The other dogs watched me leave. They always do.

My wife got home and opened the gate and Elly May decided she was going to join me on the hunt no matter what. I could hear it all, so when I heard my wife screaming “Elly May” over and over getting closer all the time I started down the tree. By the time I got down Elly May had tracked me to my tree and was there all excited.

Of course, my wife came through the woods screaming the whole time. I wanted so badly to yell “For the love of God woman shut up!” but I’m smarter than that.

I took my belt off, made a makeshift collar/leash out of it and walked Elly May to my wife who at that point was very apologetic. Then I explained that Elly May and her coming down wasn’t nearly as intrusive as her screaming all the way down the hill. She literally had to drag Elly May back and I climbed back up, fairly certain now that I won’t see a deer.

Had another huge buck walk by with 10 minutes of light. I moved trees for the evening and would you know he walked right in between me and the first tree. If I would have stayed in first tree he would have been 15 yard shot. He walked by at 35 yards, I just wasnt comfortable shooting that far in low light.
