Back at the house. 2 egg sammies and just popped the release hatch. All i got to do is wipe and get back out there. Had to change it up for this afternoon/evening. Wind was whipping bad and i have to go get my platform out of a tree anyway. thought for sure a bruiser would come check this area out this am. Had 3 bedded does within 50yds of me. This little 6 was 5 yds from me. Staring at that decoy. Still a good hunt did not want to leave bit i HAVE to go get that platform.
Mind keeps telling me to leave. Last 11 hrs on stand..... 0 deer seen. Not listening to weak mind. Staying until dark.
Well that’s it for me today. Back of the jeep and heading home. Crazy how seeing one yearling Joe just totally revitalized my motivation! due to the storm, I won’t be able to get out again until Monday, and after that not sure when because the season here ends. There are a few bow only zones where I can go later, but I have so much school work to do it’s ridiculous. Good luck y’all

Joe. You have to get down here to the midwest one of these years for a late season hunt. Our season goes till middle of January. You work so damn hard at this stuff. If you ever get a wild hair just let me know. There is plenty of public i could take you to or just point you in a direction. You would have ample opportunities.
Forgot how bad this hang on leans to one side. Need to adjust this off season, the straps are too tight/ frozen to do it now. I'm in same tree I shot my doe from when I doubled up back in 20. I could've shot a small 8 and a 135" 8 if I hadn't already punched my buck tag that AM.
