    Well changed plans went to the gypsy blind due to winds. Not even a squirrel. Left early because of weather coming in and hubby asking me to get the hedgerow leaves farther back before they get wet. This is where we cut all the beech this spring. Hubby was going to rent a chipper until he got the prices. Son came in and chunked a bunch of logs but way more up there. He never picked them up so.....
    I got in my weights today when I saw how much was under the leaf cover. . All he needs to do is back up the trailer and load up. Hhhmmm beech is freaking heavy!. They weren't small trees. 20221111_103231.jpg 20221111_103158.jpg Been sprinkling the last 2 hrs.

    Started pouring here so we are out. Lunch nap and will be back in a ground blind by 2. Tropical storm coming through.

    Grace had a great encounter with this guy. Hes locked down with a Doe and she wouldnt come in. Grace will be back in that stand an hour before daylight tomorrow to try again.

    This is the first time I have ever hunted in one of these. And I have a crossbow to boot. In a couple hours I am moving to my stand with my bow so I can feel like a man again.
