Some straight up KILLERS on our team!! I'm hoping to contribute in the next week. I have all of next week off from my internship and school and will be in the woods everyday. I've been saving my rut spot in a place I call heartbreak ridge 2 1/1 miles deep. I haven't been there since last november. Tomorrow morning I'll be out for a few hours to try and shoot anything brown. I have several papers looming over me, including one that is due on Sunday, LOL

I haven't been out since Sunday. Been warm and this S winds suck for almost all my stands. Probably going to the bow shop today to pick up my bow. I might go out once or twice this weekend but weather still sucks. But I know the rut activity has been good and they will still move in this heat. Just need a different wind for my rut stand.
We do have some killers on this team. Awesome ones at that! I haven't been out all week, either. Was to get this morning off, but alas, only one to be in the office. Will try again tomorrow morning. Otherwise - looking like I wont be out until next week. With the time change, I can hunt a couple hours before work without having to make changes.

Got my bow today. Sighted it in at 20 yards. Love how smooth it is. Tomorrow got my sons appointment and he has to get shots. Depending on how he feels, hoping to get my bow sighted in all the way. Fiance told me i can hunt tomorrow evening but with the little getting shots he usually is groggy and doesn’t feel good for the rest of the day. We went to dinner last night after my meeting and spotted the field that abutts our property - bucks dogging does galore. Seen a cool but totally weird rack. Never seen him before. There were a few small ones and two eights. I will be leaving work early today to head out to the woods for an afternoon/evening sit. It's going to be warm today and tomorrow - but hopefully that doesn't deter them.

This time change ruins my hunting time. Will try and get out of work early towards end of week. The apps are saying November 11 is the day to be in the woods....I can't take the whole day off, I'm only one scheduled to work the office - UGH. But, I have farrier coming Wednesday at 830. I may be able to sneak out to the woods for a short sit before he arrives. My hunting days are winding down. Season ends the 18th. This upcoming Sunday is the one allowed Sunday hunting during archery for PA.
Had a real big doe at 20 yards broadside at 250 this afternoon , drew back settled my 20 yard pin on her lungs and fired my bow only to have my string derail and my arrow land under my stand platform. Only thing I can figure is I didn't have the arrow nock seated all the way on the string, but luckily no other damage to my bow. I have a new bow at home so I'm gonna set it up and sight it in tomorrow. I'm just grateful I wasn't hurt or the bow, already ordered new strings and cables so it should be a week or 2 before the old bow is ready to go again. But it did scare the he'll outta me !
