But it's great to be back! This was one of my favorite sites. I founded a hunting site on fb, but I'm not here to promote that, only to enjoy the comrades in arms that enjoy hunting. Tomorrow is opening day here in Massachusetts, can't wait to get out there.

Welcome back. When you were on here before did you have another screen name?

I did, it was, (if I remember right) either HuntingWM, or HuntingWesternMass.

Lol, wasn't a one and done, season just opened here, so I've been hunting, setting up and moving cams and blinds, up at 4, exhausted by 7. Up and at it again, so I didn't have time. Then the link I'd saved, had a 'this domain name may be for sale,' and I just didn't have the energy to search til now.
Here's a report, so with the drought, typical patterns are upended, not many acorns in my area, so the deer are hitting the fields pretty heavy. I've seen one bucks that hung up at 100 yds, when I stupidly reached for and pulled out my binoculars. He was headed straight for me, could have been the wind, but I think he saw me. Turned, swisher his tail twice and slowly walked away. There are some big bucks, and a lot of deer in the fields this year. But as the rut heats up, the patterns will change again, and all bets are off. A buck can be caught dogging a doe anywhere, anytime.
Again, it's good to be back. Sorry for the delay in answering.

Yep, I found your previous screen name, and it has been a while. About 5 years.

Stick around this time and get to know some of us. We’re a pretty good group of people. :tu:

You said you’ve been hunting. Jump into the Official Live From the Stand Thread in the Bowhunting Talk forum and keep us entertained while you’re out on stand.

Most of us live on that thread this time of year.

    Good luck this season.

I had a series of unfortunate events, you could say, y way of explaining my absence. The first one, about 5 years ago, was a 2 story fall, led to a life flight, led to months in hospital and many months rehab at home. Followed by... another accident, tripped on a root while hunting,, shattered my shoulder, 14 screws and a steel rod, some more surgeries, etc. I've had to go to ground blinds, and only this year have got my ass back in a tree. Now with quality safety harness, safety slide rope, any fall from a tree would not be cool. But I'll never stop hunting. Wish I could get my old moniker back, I found it too. Don't remember or have access to that email probably. But I'm ok with this one.
    Thanks for all your considerations.

Considerations? My considerations don’t mean squat here.

Any idea how many posts you accumulated under your old screen name?

I see a HuntingWesternMass that hasn’t logged in since 2017 that had 7 posts.

If that was you I’d be happy to reactivate that account, link it with your current email and delete this account if you want me to.

I’m here to help. Just let me know.

Also, it sounds like you’ve had a string of pretty bad luck. I hope you are all recovered and that you have a great season this year.

Ya sure that'd be great, but, I'm almost certain I made more than 7 posts, lol. Heck, I've made more than that tonight. No if that's all thats in my old handles history, I'll just keep this one.

    Okay, we can do that.

I can only work with what I have. Here’s what I see when I search:
