Looks like you hit at least one lung/arterial blood. I think he’s going to be dead right there in the morning. Good luck!

I agree Dan. I made a very similar shot on a buck in Mark Twain National Forest a few years ago. Many on here said to give it 4-6 hours. I was going to back out but when I climbed down 45 minutes later I saw a white belly 80 yards away.

That was a 100” buck though, and Lady Forge isn’t known for shooting little ones.

I’m looking forward to seeing this one.

Best of luck in recovery, Lady! I know you're out there now tracking. It was a cold night here - so hopefully you had the same!

I wasn't feeling the greatest yesterday, so I didn't go out. Wanted to rest. Ended up getting a motor vehicle accident on Interstate and that's where I was most of the night.

My camera was going nuts. Tons of buck by my stand. First time in light was our target buck....and I wasn't there.

    I'll be out tonight.

Found him and no coyote damage , his body is huge. This is gonna be a real pain to drag out, it's public hunting land so can't 4 wheel it out :(

Outstanding! Congratulations on a great buck Ma’am!

I’ve got to ask: Did you find him where you last saw him bed down?

It is pricey, but Badlands Gear has one of the better women's clothing lines, unconditional lifetime warranty as well. I have been using their packs and clothing for 10 years. I won't even toy with giving my money to other companies.

    Congrats Lady Forge! Beautiful buck~!

I just got my husband a bunch of their stuff over the last two years. I'll have to look into the women's line.

No he moved , I found 2 bloody beds, but he didn't make it far and lots of blood to follow, the shot was back of 1 lung, liver and stomach, back 3/4 of my arrow was still inside him, with pink fletching hanging out of 1 lung.

I will get my buck scored tomorrow and entered in the scorecard thread. My buck story. I went out on a spur of a moment hunt so I didn't shower. I went to the public hunting land and decided to ground hunt. I knew of a great big deadfall on a ridgetop overlooking a river bottom. I wore my camo leafy suit and climbed into the deadfall. I had a doe & fawn come in to 26.5 yards and passed on the doe. Around 5pm I saw a buck going up the next ridge. And then I spoked a coon. Then I saw movement to my right and there he was, I stood , turned and drew my bow and then mouth grunted to stop him at 30 yards. I saw the arrow bury in his side and you all know the rest. I have 2 trail cam photos of him when he was in velvet.
