Erased our goose egg this evening. Less than perfect shot hit liver, stomach and opposite lung. She went about 175 yards but we found her. Resized_20221006_194250.jpg

Felt good to eat tenderloins tonight!! She only went about 80 yards despite a less than ideal shot. Ready for a buck now!

I've always been a sucker for chocolate horns. Not sure how many how many points this buck has, hoping to some daylight pictures of him on the next card pull or better yet have him show up while I'm in the stand. He has me interested. Date and not set on this camera. I'm sure it is an early morning picture.

Congrats on the doe kills guys! Also - some great looking bucks we have on camera. Sorry for my lack of updates... Been a little busy with work and my 6 month old. I have only been in the stand twice this year - two incredible early season hunts. This is the least amount I have hunted 12 days into the season EVER and it's not even close.

By this time next week I hope to have been out a time or two. Given my schedule and having a youngster using this opportunity to do what I've never had the discipline to do in the early season - keep pressure off my stands and hunt them hard when my odds are the highest! Will hunt pretty dang hard between Oct 27 and Nov 10.

Finally gonna be back out in a tree Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The weather is supposed to be perfect this weekend too, so I’m hopeful to have some action! Haven’t checked the cameras for a couple weeks now, so maybe a couple new guys have moved into the area and will become targets.
