Well, winds are good for it but I rarely ever hunt my place before the 21st unless cold front….but east winds make the place fool proof nearly for in and out without them having a clue. I may try it and back out for weeks….we shall see
Most cooperatives will carry it, but for this one I work with a company (Rakk Fuel) helping them build their blends and utilize much of their blends for my clients and my personal properties. One of the owners is on here, @Lester. The blend that this was in is called Hunters Haven designed for forage, bedding, screening, and multi species use.
Oh they exist, but right now trying to get one of my family members to say they want the meat. I have a buffalo hunt in December so I certainly don't need the meat, but just the 50 points lol

2 days and all of our seasons will be open! I’m going to check 2 maybe 3 easy to get to cameras after work this afternoon, whatever camera shows the most activity is more then likely where I’ll be hunting Saturday morning. The one thing that sucks is the predicted ENE wind they’re calling for, I don’t have many stand options for that wind but will make something work. 3 buddies and I finally pulled the trigger and decided to do our Missouri trip again and it could be the best one yet. The place we’ve stayed the last 4 times is booked but she hooked us up with one of her friends that has a small rental with all amenities needed….$25 a night per person!! And we also might have access to a 220 acre investment property that he owns, he said for a small additional fee we may be able to work something out. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
MIHoyt do you have a hang on or climber and get in there and try to make something happen or is it a food plot your hunting? That Missouri trip sound like great deal. Good luck with that.
Flung a few arrows today I shot pretty well I thought. Best thing I did was go back to a smaller peep. I struggled last year with that larger one. I got thinking usually every year I have my clothes hung outside 3 weeks before the opener. They are all still in the basement in a tote. Looks like tomorrow is laundry day. We have a frost advisory tonight and looks like mid to low 40 in the am for the opener.
I do have a light weight mobile novix stand and sticks that I bought to bounce around a little bit if needed at home (which may happen if the wind doesn’t cooperate Saturday morning) but other then that all of my home stands a preset each year. I bought the novix set mainly for out of state trips. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
The view tonight I have SE wind (15 mph) blowing at my face Should be or could be perfect wind Although when it blows I hang on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The best thing I did to improve my accuracy was find s peep that actually fit my sight housing. 1/8” was too small. 1/4 was too big. I finally found a 7/32” peep and it’s been great.
I’ve got about 1000pictures to go through from the 3 cameras I pulled today. I saw some as they were uploading to my phone and to say it got me jacked is an understatement . After I eat dinner I’m going to sit down and go through them and I’ll share a few of the best ones! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
