We'll see how I'm feeling when I see one of them! Lol For the team members that don't know, my dad is HuntinKB51 on team 4 and Tony wants me to let my dad shoot one of those bucks. We'll see who gets a shot first.
Checking in. Still in Maine. Those are good looking deer. Another one of my survivors from last year showed up. Can’t wait to get a look at him on hoof. He is at least 5 this year. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Opening day tomorrow, ready to rock. Doe will be killed without hesitation tomorrow. My freezer is empty and needs some deer meat. Also only have the one buck in the area really that I know of, so not too worried about messing anything up. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Pretty straight forward hunt. It rained for about two hours and I knew the deer was going to get on their feet. The wind was blowing the perfect direction. About 5:15 I had a doe and two little ones come in out of nowhere from somewhere I wasn’t expecting. They got to within 10 yards and about busted me. Feed on into a field. Then had a bunch of turkeys around me fighting each other. Died down for around 30-45 mins. All of a sudden I see a deer jump the fence to my right. I did not anticipate them to come from the right side either. I was thinking everything was going to come from in front of me. They walked down slowly. 5 does and 2 bucks. I couldn’t see the one buck in the back but knew which one the other was. I ranged where I though they was coming through at 25 yards and adjusted my pin. Two mins later he comes right through and I blew his shoulder out with my Black Eagle Spartan and Magnus stingers. He ran about 20 yards and fell over. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Any guesses on score? It’s been a couple years since I’ve done one but I remember how. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I get around 84" or so, nowhere near official What I like to do when the hunter has their hand on the rack is use their fingers as a ruler. You had 3 wrapped around so went with 2 2/8 as a "ruler" and just gapped it out. Think you got the first buck in the LFTS thread as well. I know others have been posted in there but I don't think they hunted live, just posted their kill. Congrats again, opening day success!
