At the beach with the family now.. have a few more stands to move and then I’ll be ready for 10-1!! Getting pumped!! My cams have all slowed down. I think the deer are hitting the corn hard here in PA. Need to adjust for that. They are also hitting the cherries pretty hard. Iowa is slowing down but I’m not there until the rut so just knowing there are good ones around is all I need!!

It was nice seeing blarney22 last night for a family birthday dinner. He's not kidding about it being too hot. It was 85 degrees at 5 o'clock! C'mon fall weather... come back!

Couple more days of heat then we're in for a massive cool-off. Finally! 87 tomorrow, 61 by Thursday. I can't wait.

I spent some time tuning my bow this weekend and finally got it shooting the way I want. I thought it was good before Wyoming, but some of the footage of me shooting it was pretty apparent I had some arrow flight issues going on. I basically tore down my setup and started from scratch, and it's shooting great now. I had a pretty serious cam timing issue that popped up out of nowhere, which was odd. I also stripped down all of my arrows, refletched them all and spin-tested them again. Now I'm ready to kill.

Also got out on the water last night with my oldest boy and did pretty well. Hoping for a few more trips before we put the boat up for the season. Early season I like to fish in the mornings and hunt in the afternoons. It's relaxing.

This is what I spent my last Saturday doing. A little flooring in the closet left to do and then 2 more full bedrooms. Trying to get a bunch of stuff out of the way before hunting season. Need to shoot my bow more before I’m officially ready.

Looks nice! I need to redo the flooring in my bedroom but I'm going to wait until January. No time for that business now!

I wish I could wait lol. We bought this house march 31 st. Wife had a cancerous kidney removed April 12. In the short time between closing on house and her surgery she decided to rip the carpets up in all 3 bedrooms. Been just subfloor since. My wife and kids would
Kill me if I waited any longer, lol.

Yeah, that makes sense! Sorry to hear about your wife - how's she doing??

I ripped all the trim off my bedroom over the winter and repainted the whole thing, then got sidetracked with a bathroom project and never made it back to do the floors. If I don't do them over the winter and get a new bedroom set, my wife will likely kill me as well.

Checked a camera today while fertilizing food plots. Have 2 definite shooters on video. Here's to hoping they stay in their pattern through October 1st opening day

Here are the shooters I have on video on the past couple days. I took stills from the videos so they aren't the best quality. The first is a good 8 with nice tall tines. The others are of a 13 pointer. VideoCapture_20220920-181815_resized.jpeg 20220920_104927.jpeg VideoCapture_20220920-181453_resized.jpeg

She’s doing well. They removed all the cancer so she does not need chemo or anything. Thank God for that. Just has to go back once a year for a CT scan to see if any tumors come back.

Day time photos.... I'm not sure. This was the only camera I checked. As it's right on a mower/atv trail that the deer are used to people being on. I didn't go in deep. I have another deeper in near that bedding area that we always get good daytime pictures on.

Good looking deer! Definitely better than anything I've got on camera right now.

Starting to hear reports of EHD popping up around IL. Need some cold weather, ASAP.

This might be the best opening week I’ve seen in Tennessee in a long time. The weather looks amazing. I’m off from Sat-Thurs for hunting. Daytime pics of the same buck that has been hanging around and lots of does coming in. Saturday needs to hurry up.
