You guys are a talkative bunch on here. I saw that you did a GroupMe chat. Hopefully you are all there. I spoke to your captain and your missing teammate has until 6:00 pm to check in which is about an hour from now. If he hasn’t checked in by then I’ll assign an alternate.

Hey fellas, I’m Nate I live over here in Chesapeake, VA right on the NC line. I’ll be hunting a mix of public and private from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the marshes of the Eastern Shore. Our season opened recently for urban archery but I’ve been traveling for work and haven’t really messed with it yet. Cooler temps and acorns hitting the ground might change that though. Otherwise our normal bow season starts Oct 1. I’m excited for this season and the contest as well, I missed several weeks last year with a fluke detached retina and emergency surgery on October 18th If all goes well I plan on really getting after the 23rd of October this season and my vacation runs through Dec 7! Not a trophy hunter but hopefully I can help us put some points on the board. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
48 degrees this morning. Really got the feel of hunting season now. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Mid 40's here this morning but I still have 2 more weeks before the season opens......Today would be perfect to be up in a stand
Amen brother!! Here also was in the 40s this morning and didn’t get over 65. Looks like next weekend is cooling down also. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well no bow kills but VA Youth/Apprentice Weekend is this weekend and our 8 year old got his first deer yesterday evening on our family land. So pretty big deal and fun hunt! Grabbed 1 card while there and got a couple decent bucks so we’ll see if this weather cooperates for the bow opener next weekend Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
3 more wake ups and it’s go time. Just hoping the rain holds off until Sunday. Temps are feeling good in mornings for past couple days which has really got me going. Remnants of hurricane could mess things up though. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
How’s everyone’s season so far? I’ve started slow and making sure I’m spending time at home so when the cold fronts and rut hit, I’ll have the green light to go. Next sit is tomorrow night. 20° temp drop so hopefully the bucks I glassed up the other night will be in transition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
