Thanks! This will be my 21st year in a row hunting Kansas. I have a pretty good relationship with a rancher out there and pretty much bowhunt 3000 acres all to myself. Granted, a lot of those acres are open ground but that just concentrates the deer into the trees. It's getting harder to draw a tag now though.

I don't think I said, but I also hunt Ohio, Darke Co. Here is a few picture I got from the last card pull. Hope they're still in this area in 23 days. I basically hunt a hallway between the bedroom and the kitchen.... a very unpredictable hallway.
I am pretty secretive about posting pictures of deer that aren't dead yet online, but have a few really nice bucks for my area on camera. I hunt primarily private permission ground, roughly 800 acres between a few pieces. Last year I hunted a single buck the majority of the season that I had a ton of history with (numerous encounters, thousands of trail camera pictures and 3 sets of sheds), who unfortunately disappeared abruptly late October. No sightings since. I still have hope he's around and possibly just got bumped out of the block by a more aggressive, dominant deer. The bucks I have been scouting this year are definitely helping me keep my mind off of him. If he shows back up, it will be another one buck focus again.
I hunt a spot where I may never see those 2 bucks again. I don't get picky myself, just because of few deer in the county, and id rather have a few in the freezer. not to say, if I whack 2 does early, I may hold out for a decent buck, maybe make some trips to southern Ohio. Basically, I'm 100% ok with putting a fergie buck on the board

Checking in. Always enjoy the contest at BHOD. Nice to meet everyone. I hunt in VT and NJ on both public and private. I'll be in Jersey on September 15th for a 4 day stint and in VT we start on October 1. Damaged my shoulder a few weeks ago so the compound is out this year. The crossbow is spot on though and I can cock it, so I'll be looking for a money shot on a nice Buck.
