Let's check in and pick your captain. I vote for anyone who has time and is on here often. I have done it in the past but between work and hunting I am not on here as much as some other folks.
As usual I am stoked for this season. Hoping to find me a doe early on and wait till the rut for a cruising buck.
I'm just gonna throw a quick intro or here while on the commute to work cause the next couple weeks get crazy. I'm Bill. I'll be Bill NC central and mountains and have an offer to hunt IL on the table. I'll be hinting public and my small private parcel. I'm also headed out to Colorado for elk on about 3 weeks. Of you're so inclined, if appreciate some prayers...my wife with some fairly major surgery svelte later this week. I've also been struggling with a pinched nerve in my neck, causing pins/needless & numbness in both arms. Anything else you want to know our if we get a group text going, just PM me...
Checking in… will be hunting PA primarily and some private ground in OH. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Brett here. Just moved to Missouri so I'm behind a good bit on public land scouting but I'm trying my best.
Josh checking in! Not too sure how much I'm actually going to be getting out due to recovering from a ruptured achilles tendon, but hoping to have enough mobility to hobble around and hunt. Currently have quite a few prospects which I am excited about but we'll see if they stick around after they lose their velvet. As far as area, I'll be hunting SE MN. Anyone have any suggestions for team name?
Chris, MUD, Retired -56 yrs old. Lots of time to hunt. NWPA, I live in rural NWPA. Ag farms all around me. I have permission to hunt on most of it. I'm usually good for a doe but last yr was the first year I didn't kill a deer. My fault thou. I missed a doe on opening day. Dealing with target panic. It's getting better. I hoping to put 2 down in Pa , I should be heading to NY also.
Good Luck out in Colorado chasing elk. I one day hope to head out that way and chase after them. Hope all goes well with the surgery and get that pinched nerve checked out, I would hate that feeling.
Good luck this year. I hope when I retire I am saying the same thing. I could use more time to hunt. Season seems so short some years.
That's the spirit. Hobbling around the woods is better then sitting at home. Post up some of the bucks you will be chasing. Tease us a little.
Your in land of the giants now. I hear good things about Missouri. Some nice ones come out of that state.
Quick intro about me. I am Rich. Currently stationed in NE NC. I have 2 tracts of private land I will be hunting in NC and some public land near work in VA that I hunt as well. I also plan to hunt Western Ky public land again this year the 1st week of November so stoked about that. Ask me any questions you may have. I will keep you all posted with trail cam pictures on my next cam pull. Hopefully some new bucks moving in and some hard horns coming soon. Anyone care to start throwing out some team names? I don't have any in mind just yet but I will post some as they come to me.
My regret was waiting till I was 50 to start chasing elk. Budget some $. Look into the draw schemes (Randy Newberg had some good info). Do it! Happy to help when I've got a slow tree sit in a few weeks...
