Went fishing at the farm after a quick Squirrel hunt this am. Had caught 3 or 4 bass 13 to 15 inches long when I snagged this. 30 lbs 31 inches nose to tail!

Been able to spend a few weekends up in Wisconsin fishing. My daughter caught a dandy walleye last weekend, and I caught my personal best smallmouth today.

Hope to get out a few more times before bow season starts!

The lake should start cooling off here in the next couple weeks, it is crazy out on the pontoon everywhere you look need the weed line you see 100's of small sunnies and bass. Once the lake turns over the big bass and pike will move up and feeding frenzy.

Cat fish are crazy, I have caught them on a night crawler, crank bait, and even a skitter pop. We use 6 pound test on the river you hook into a channel cat and if have to decide if you want to fight it for 20 minutes or get back after the bass.

Got out last night for the first time since July 4th weekend. It was hot for the first couple hours and pleasure boat traffic was insane, but once the clouds moved in and the sun started to set the yahoos all went home and the bite really turned on. We hammered them pretty good the last 45 minutes or so. This was my biggest and I had another about the same size get off right at the boat. Hoping for a few more trips before we put the boat up for the season.

Did our last fishing outing up at our camp in Wisconsin this weekend. Towed the boat home yesterday. We caught them pretty good, makes me wish I had more time to fish well into October.

I’ll probably get out 1-2 more times on the local mud puddle, still have a quarter tank of fuel in the boat and would like to try and burn that up before I get it stored for the winter.

Looks like I might get the chance to throw a kayak in and fish pink panty reef before I head home.
