Never said I was fine with what he said, I just don't know how a judge (the GOVERNMENT) can hang an 8 figure price tag on words that hurt feelings. Even really hurt feelings. Where do you draw that line? What Jones did was propagate something that he believed to be true. He was wrong, but he wasn't LYING. There was no intent to hurt those people- in fact he didn't believe those people (grieving parents) actually existed. That's the most important difference between him and NYTMSNBCCNN/Sandmann. Sandmann was personally named, faced, and intentionally defamed - with malice. His college and career aspirations were significantly impacted. Those are actual damages that could be quantified.

I think we were one of the returns the IRS tossed.... They have made it impossible to contact anyone about it. Their problem is. 1. We over pay every year 2. We keep meticulous records,copy of return we mailed in. 3. We ALWAYS send returns registered sign for and return receipt...they signed for the said return paper work. I've been patient with hubby dealing with it, that's getting old due to what they owe us...thousands.
The easy solution to that is underpay. Keep YOUR money, don't loan it to the G interest free. Then write a check in April. That way you're never dependant on them to give you your own money back.
