It’s the strangest thing. When I put the new cameras out I was getting over a hundred pics a day. The last two days I haven’t gotten a single pic, and I’ve only gotten a handful in the last 5 days. I was concerned that the new cameras had stopped transmitting so I rode over and refreshed the mineral sites just to test them and they sent pics immediately. I guess the deer will show up again eventually. I hope so anyway.
Well guys tis that season. I know I have been away, but ready for another year of whackin n stackin whitetails. Been busy getting food plots put in on both my properties as well as client properties. The first stop of my 2022 deer tour will be Kentucky on labor day. Picked up a 3500 acre lease last year and have yet to step foot on it. Will be a fun hunt that will require a bunch of scouting, hang n hunts, and honestly being as flexible as possible for 10 days. Hoping to get it done on a doe at minimum out of the gate hat way I don't need to hear Ty jabbing me all season . Otherwise I will be back to Wisconsin for most of the season, but ending my 2022 season with a bucket list buffalo hunt and a Nebraska mulie hunt. Should be a fun year!
Wow! A 3500 acre lease in Kentucky, a buffalo hunt and a mule deer hunt. Sounds like you’re going to have a good season.
I mean I think a pretty solid bet would be who can accomplish what first.... @fletch920 actually providing anything to our scores or you a doe..... LOL
DAAAAAAAAMNNNNNNNNNNN YOU!!!!!! HAHAHA..... No pressure this year.... first bambi gonna get the Exodus lol
That little guy is behind my daughter‘s house in their Orchard. He still has a few weeks of growth left in him
I finally started getting pics from my cameras across the road last night. Almost exactly a week after the last deer pic. The only thing I can figure out is that a week ago my neighbor called and asked if one of our dogs was out. He can see onto my property and he said that he saw what might be a dog trotting through my property. Yesterday I called him and asked if he was sure it was a dog that he saw and not a mountain lion. He wasn’t sure. He said “Now that you mention it it could have been a mountain lion. It had a LONG tail and it was a good ways away”. I remember three years ago I was seeing deer every sit until a mountain lion walked right by me. I didn’t see a single deer for a week after that. Maybe that’s what he saw, and that might explain the deer disappearance.
Certainly going to be a busy year! Going to be fun learning that Kentucky lease. Pretty mountainous with little to no agriculture. Going to find some game trails and hope to maybe stumble on some oaks. We shall see.
