I'm having a little trouble getting the swelling to come out as I age. Days of workouts and work stress just build it up. Right now it's like I need to stop working out for 5 days and just focus on getting the crap out of my body. I stay hydrated and eat enough to recover. Any of you all have any tips to reduce swelling?
After the holiday weekend I took this week off. Ready to get back at it on Monday. Can't tell you how many beers and Vodka my body has taken on in the last 7 days.
I use a supplement from Wilderness Athlete called Midnight Build. Take about 30 minutes before bed, definitely helps improve sleep quality and recovery from a tough workout. I buy their multivitamin on a monthly subscription and this product every three months or so. I think I can get you a promo code for a discount off your first order through the refer-a-friend program. https://wildernessathlete.com/products/midnight-build
Maybe you should do an elimination diet to see whatscontributing to your inflammation. That or go carnivore then add things back one thing at a time. Like any thing that has soybean oils, or plants like tomato or spinach research what causes inflammation and figure out how much of that is in your diet...just a thought
^this Dairy, sugar, gluten are also inflammatory in some... or look into Tom Brady's diet which focuses on anti inflammatory foods...
Thank you to all three or you, I really appreciate those suggestions and will do my best. Every time I reduce overall swelling my mood and energy improves.
This is why many go keto but then full on carnivore. I admit though I'm a fruitaholic ,as it were. I just can't give up mixed green salads yet as well as fruit.
Hey Jim, I hope not, time will tell. I’m going to be somewhat conservative for now. I’m going to try some Dry Needling and possibly PRP injection first. Gentle Art my a$$…. For sure I’ve been constantly injured somewhere in varying degrees since I started. For some reason I love it and miss being able to train. Time will tell how that plays out.
Just general build up. Like I can feel general tightness in my body like I'm clearing out the junk in my body more slowly.

Mine was fill 4 5 gal jugs. Walking them to the Gator and lifting them up into the back....lifting them to fill the back pack sprayer then walking back and forth with the 5 gallons on my back spraying. Filled twice. Mowing a couple of acres, takes more work than you'd think. Weeded the garden and picked lettuce. Took A.J. for a walk. Did the basement and second story stair 12 times yesterday. Just started counting that because I was curious. Oh before 7a.m. I had 8 pairs of jeans and 10 shirts starched and iron. I refer to this as my steaming, it gets dang hot ironing for a couple of hours..
I continue to have some good workouts and keep trying to add volume. Sat I ran 20 mins and did bodyweight leg stuff. Sunday I walked for an hr with just a 25lb pack and did 150 pushups along the way. Today it is smoking hot and humid. Ran a mile and did pullups on the soccer goal along the way.

You start running 7min miles or below and your cardiovascular system is way better than most. Good work!
