The offline mapping is great, just save them while your in service areas. This feature helps me a ton in Ohio on big parcels of public for boundary’s and land features where cell service isn’t available.

It’s great for that. I’m sure it keeps me out of trouble every year.

It has also revealed a couple of spots where someone had put up Private Property markers on public land roads to deter other hunters.

    Well…here we go again…

I’ve killed my #1 hit list buck on the home farm 3 years in a row now, but none of them have been true monsters. All 4 year olds.

I’m gonna try and change that this year. I know of one buck that will be at least 5, and a few others close by who will be of that age caliber.

Lots of time left. Lots of projects left. Lots of content to produce. But this year is going to be a hell of a time for me and my crew, I think I even have a hunt with JZ himself planned out (more on that later).

We finished up a lounge at the farm to meet up and celebrate the hunts at this year, it’s going to be a great time.

Thanks for the advice on OnX. I've already been mapping scouting on Caltopo and will now just upload those to OnX. I cant wait to see what OnX looks like on my laptop this morning as I try to find places with less pressure.

Didnt expect this already, way to go. Been busy at work, spring soccer and the homestead. Getting ready for winter. Woods done, will have plenty of veggies soon. Only 3 pages to catch up, that's like pre season warmups. 20220702_164633.jpg 20220703_114025.jpg 20220701_110347.jpg 20220701_110230.jpg

Cams have been out in VT. One promising 8pt on camera already.
This year and last year. He is wider this year and hopefully will end up with the same or longer tine length.

This one will likely be considered a shooter to me. Similar to the other but not as far along. Hope you guys don’t care that I just post cam pics in here. Outside of shooting my bow I just wait for Tactacam pics until I check my others (once a month). [IMG]

Seeing I'm not running the cams this year, I love seeing everyone else's pics. Post away.
I have to say I'm way more relaxed about hunting this year.

My cameras have been out for five days now here on my home place and the only “buck” pic I’ve gotten from the Tactacams was a young one with tiny little 1” spikes.

I do have three Stealthcams out covering other areas.

I’m getting tons of doe pics though which is a good draw for later in the season. I did get this one this morning. It’s the thumbnail that was sent, not the HD pic.

Are you feeling relaxed enough to sign up for the contest again this year and break the “curse”?

    ((Don’t yell at me.)

    NO!...lol

I'm Irish and knew to listen to my superstitious side, yet see what happened when I did not.
We'll see how the flip goes, this year....

P.S. remember the struggle with my bow draw? Even my son,who does heavy and highway work, said the bow drew hard last year? Well I had it looked over and the draw weight checked. It is actually 48#'s,that's 1# less than It was suppose to be. Hhhhmmmm practice this year I'm not having to reach for the sky just drawing back and holding..
    Go figure...lol

Last year you put 50 points on the board. That’s 50 points more than many who signed up, including a couple on the winning team.

As to the problems drawing the bow, I may have problems this year. For some reason my shoulders are giving me fits. I’ve shot my bow once since April. I shoot right handed and the compression on my left shoulder hurt like crazy. I don’t know what I can do about it except work through it.

Start doing shoulder stretches and strengthening...5 days a week. Makes a world of difference. I may have a video our Depts physical therapist sent all of us. I will look and send if I find it.

I’ll be happy to take a look and try it, but I have a feeling my problems are totally in the shoulder joints themselves.

Actually, I’ve just started to wonder if it’s the new recliners we bought about six months ago. That’s about when it started. The arm rests are too high and my shoulders are constantly pushed up. I guess I need to try sitting in another chair for a while. Well, either that or get a booster seat.
