    Looking for archery elk guide recommendations, preferably in Colorado or Montana. Looking to head out west in 2023-24...

    Welcome to this site. I wish I could help but I’ve always done DIY. I also live out west. I have only hunted Utah and Idaho for elk.

    Look into Justin with Stone Ridge outfitters out of Pagosa. GMU77 archery now requires a draw and May start requiring 1 point the way it’s been going. But Justin’s a great guy and guide !

    Area 4 is real good
    82 is good as well
    Plains is nice but you have to find canyons and stick to the benches, down wind and out of sight

    Oh and 64 is good but mostly private

    Agreed DIY is the way to go paying someone to hunt for you aint hunting
