Good luck LC! It's time for you to kill a buck. 3 more hours of work and I'm out if here! Off to the woods! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I'm at the property and just drove past the spot. It's so thin. Really thick on the ground and the trees are bare up top. If I climb a tree, I will be sticking out bad. I'm sure people will honk at me, haha. Going in to see what I can do. I parked about 200 yards away. Easy walk around a mowed field edge. Will report back once I'm in. Also have plan B if I bust them out while setting up. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Well that didn't work. I was 20 yards from the spot I want to be and busted 4 does out. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
had some does on my foodplot today around 10:30am and just showed up again.... contemplating taking a trip down to MD tomorrow and seeing if they are up feeding before the storm this weekend.
Plan B didn't work much better. I jumped into a creek and walked in it to a marsh. Well the deer were out of the marsh already feeding up on the flats. I'm out of time so went down the marsh another 50 yards and climbed a tree. Hoping they circle back along the edge at dark. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Yeah no way this time of year they will come back. These deer are just so jumpy Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Well I might have a big doe down! Not sure of shot. She ran out about 50 yards and stop running. Not sure if she just stopped or died. To thick to see. Just after I posted above had a big doe come running straight to my tree. She stopped under me at 5 yards and I missed! She went out about 20 yards and I was able to get a 2nd shot. Thinking high lung. But concerned I didn't hear a crash. Update - I can hear her coughing real bad at the place I heard her stop. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Update . Still in tree. Haven't heard a noise from her, so hopefully she is dead right there. Just had a group of 5 does come back thru. They circled on the far side of this oak flat. Heading back from were I jumped them. If I get her, this might be my quickest hunt I ever had. Think I was on stand for 15 minutes. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
