Same here was out this morning but after looking at my cameras the two bucks I'm after have been nocturnal...I'll keep at it though, we have time...2.5 weeks left for me...fingers crossed. Good luck guys!

I’m still at it, but it’s been so warm and windy here that i’m only hunting the weather changes. I went out Saturday morning and could’ve shot a doe but she still had a fawn with her so I couldn’t do it. But, there are more does on the property, just a matter of them coming in when I’m there. I’m still hopeful for a mature buck but my confidence is pretty low that’s going to happen with the rut being over with and them going nocturnal lately. The only decent bucks I’ve still got on camera the last few days are both 2.5 yr olds that have a ton of potential so they will get a pass.

Since we're on the topic of score, does anyone still have a realistic chance at a buck?

Does can still get us up there but a buck or two this stage in the contest is huge, I doubt the thread gets another full page of entries, but half a page of team 16 would be awesome.

My 4 wheeler is still at the property so I will get out again trying for a doe. I think the others hunting put some real pressure on them in October, I doubt it has been
hunted much since 1st shotgun season back Nov. 19th weekend. Hopefully things have settled down a bit and deer are moving naturally again.

I've still got a good chance at getting a buck down. They are still chasing in some of the places I hunt and I found a few active scrapes inside a bedding area today while I was out for a few hours. Thinking of hitting that spot in the morning with this north wind. Sets up perfect for the deer to be working that area and I can also setup with it in my favor. It will be cutting it close, but I think it might work. I have no idea what is in the area really, it's just something I stumbled upon last week while checking out a new public piece.

My season is open until the end of February, so I still have some time. Unfortunately, my jeep has been doing death wobble when I hit interstate speeds over 65mph. I have been hesitant to drive it all the way to where the urban hunt is about an hour away. I am having that looked at on Monday next week. I should be good after that. I am off Dec 23-jan 3. So I will get a few hunts in during that week. I may hunt a time or two during the 3 day after-Christmas gun season with my boys since they have not had any luck yet. After that, it is bow only until the season closes.

I still have a good chance as well. Last day is dec 31st. but, I've had this guy coming in and he came in this morning around 8am. Will be heading
out this afternoon. Supposed to get rain tonight and the cloud cover will roll in this afternoon...usually gets them up on their feet a little earlier when that happens. thumbnail_PICT0126.jpg thumbnail_PICT0127.jpg

That is a big-bodied buck, good luck! I have always wanted to kill a funky racked buck.

At this point I agree, it takes 10-20 minutes to score it and it has been 3 weeks tomorrow he has had it back.

Said I wouldn't get worried until it's January, January is fast approaching. I understand people get busy etc, but it's what the contest is all about when you sign up.

I’m trying a new spot this afternoon. It’ll be interesting as I’ll be hunting from the ground with no blind but I’ve got pics of a shooter the last two days coming thru so fingers crossed he follows the script tonight!

I'm back ai it. Light winds, 40⁹ and so quiet that you can hear a mouse fart.

Got a doe on my buddie’s farm with the .270 tonight. Should have had a double but I rushed the second shot. Both were at less than 50 yards. Drilled the first one in the head, second doe got lucky.
