    Out with my daughter and the orange army today. Its been rifle season for a week. Small Buck and a Bear in my food plot overnight.

    Had a deer walk in to about 50 yards about 10 minutes before light. I didn't hear it leave but could have snuck out the back across the marsh. There is also a mountain laurel thicket that it could be bedded in. Nothing since sun up.

    Had 3 doe at first light work across field in front of me. I'm literally kinda sitting in wide open and never caught me. Pretty neat being eye level inside 100 yards. But they got a pass. Was hoping something was trailing them but nothing yet

    Saw a squirrel, bald eagle and another hunter 30 minutes after first light. Down near a pond / swamp, surrounded by thick pine... Known doe bedding area.

    Hunter went toward bedding, upwind of me.

    I've heard 3 shots in the first 75 minutes on the first Saturday of Michigan's gun season. Way too quiet.

    Spotted zero deer myself.
