Congrats on the doe cantexian. Bucksnbears you think it could be from a fight? Nothing for me tonight but chipmunks and squirrels. Might make it out tomorrow if there’s a break in the rain.
thought about it, my buddy who is running our trail camera in the burbs hasn’t gotten pics the last few days.
Had my best sit of the year tonight. 5 bucks, a bunch of does and fawns. Watched multiple bucks chase does tonight. They were grunting up a storm tonight too. Hopefully a shooter is there in the morning Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I did want too. For no other reason than to put him down to save his misery. Ash n Enthro, it was an obvious bullet gone wrong. Just getting ready to cook supper and just realized I still have my release strapped on. Lol
I like that. May need to switch the way slugs are to get. Just got these two. Gonna sight in the 220 sunday
Didn’t loose an arrow today but had some really great encounters and saw a lot of deer. Saw the 3 yr old 9pt this morning, a 2-3 yr old 10pt this afternoon and watched a really cool 3 yr old buck grunt and push some does around in front of the blind at 5:20. This buck is going to be an absolute stud. He’s a 7x4 with split G2’s and split brows on his right side. This buck chases the does and leaves. Shooting time is running out and the two does come back. I’m really thinking about sticking the big one, but she didn’t give me the broadside shot I wanted and then it got too dark. This is where $hit got real… I’ve got the two doe out in front of me and I can hear a deer walking really close to my pop up blind on my down wind side. It gets closer and closer until it is literally right next to me. Then the d@mn thing attacks the blind I’m sitting in! I didn’t open the windows to see because it was pretty dark but it seemed like when deer rear up on their back legs and will hit other deer with their front hooves. Needless to say it I about $hit myself! I opened up the YouTube app on my phone and started blaring coyote noises and all of the deer scattered and ran off, including the Rambo deer thankfully. Has anyone else ever had something like this happen?! In 25 years of hunting tonight was a first for me.
