I pulled cards on 5 of our cameras on our place. Little to no movement since Saturday.

I’m out, absolutely nothing for me. Kinda surprised with the big front that moved through.

That's the same here in Ohio. Hardly anything on the cameras since last week. Although I did have a buck moving around at 1400 today

Good sit tonight, the wind was howling, I was dancing like shynay nay in da wind.

1 spike and 9 does and fawns. Nothing to close to shoot. , Spike isn't legal anyway. More than 3 inch's of horn but less than the 3 pts to a side.

Saw one with 15 min left. BB I'm pretty sure. Camera only had on fork horn since Sunday. Ill have to check the other cameras.. if something doesn't happen at the farm tomorrow, I think I may go set a stand on a public piece that I shot my second Doe on and see what happens.

I’m back at camp. I saw exactly what I expected to see. Nothing.

Still, I wanted the stand set up for the morning sit.

163667649088768990417663709399.jpg As soon a a lull came, I got dressed and bailed into a tree down below towards the river.
One doe was all I seen:confused:.

I've seen it several times over the years but not as extreme as it was today. I think they think of my cabin as some kind of "safety blanket" if that makes sense?
6 or 7 mature does came here at mid day and literally were standing in the smoke of my burn barrel 10 yards out the window. The bucks have never done that?
Also seen them do it when coyotes are here on the hunt.
Was intense fun to watch. I put miles on ,y feet going from window to window lol.
They can see me moving and don't care but I can't crack the door and they run?
Weather is turning nasty now. See what tomorrow brings.
Gonna be hard to leave this.

Just at close and dark a set of fawn popped up out of the briar 20 yrds away and ran like scalded cats over the ridge. They must have seen me climb up and held tight till dark.

Yeah, think they nailed it cause my cameras were active fromOct 20 to the 31st and of course I couldn't get out then. I think Thanksgiving week will also be good Nov 20-27 and I'll be in NJ 21-23 to hunt with the kids and 24-28 in VT.

So i went out tonight. Went to a piece of public ive scouted a few times. Got there and watch a nice 8 walk through the field i was going to. Watched hom go up and cross the road. Then had a deer blow and what looked like a small bobcat chase it north of me. Had a button buck walk the trees across the field. At last light the 8 came back through. Grunted him into 45ish. But he caught my wind and went north instead of coming over. Left everything in the tree and im going back in there in the am. If i dont see anything but 2 ill move to private.

6 hours in a prime stand, not a thing.

    Swampy, I don't follow "tables".
I have in the past tho. Some years spot on, others dismal.
Now I just try to be in a tree between Oct 25 and Nov 15.
Just checked 2 cams today in perennial hot spots.
Nov 6 7 8th were terrible. Those 3 days are usually super hot.

I "liked" the dedication to sit through it, not the fact that you didn't see anything.
