I've had 20+years to get things in place. Though just last few years have tower blinds gone up. Old age...Lol
I like never being to worried about over using a stand. I've had deer notice me in one stand...I switched stands and while skirting the stand they caught me in they skirted it far enough for me to kill them from the next stand over.

Haha! Thats what the problem was. Huh. Next time we’ll have to try that. Anyhow, I just got in a tree! Wow. Im out of shape for sure. Unless round is a shape? Anyway We got soaked on way in. It opened back up and dumped. Ive been stillhunting all morning. Had a decent buck in range but out where im at im going big or going home. Im gonna have a rugged drag just to get back to the canoe. Heres to hoping! Cant get pics to load here barely have service. Good luck to those out with me and congrats to any killers today!

I’m up, view for the night. Swamp to my south and woods to the north. No way in hell will I hear them coming tonight, to wet and windy. 10FACDB9-93C9-4AFB-8F46-5F4BBFE4B36A.jpeg AB478FA9-F87A-44D4-A01D-36E29664AB41.jpeg

All tied in a NJ tree. Set a ground blind up on the way in for tomorrow morning. Supposed to be pouring rain till noon. Quite a few dead deer on 287 and 78 in NJ, hopefully they are moving this afternoon. 3hrs to hunt, only takes 30sec.

Nice breeze here, blowing into the Alpaca farm which is where I want it to go. Hot though, 60!

We came right back to stands after we ate lunch. There was some chasing going on this morning and we are supposed to get a hard rain starting between 3 and 4. I'm out here till then

I’m starving and I got some breaded back straps in the truck. It’s only about 100 yards away. I’m tempted to make a run for it, it’s not like I’m seeing deer or anything.
I can grab another jacket while I’m at it, this wind is making it a little chilly.

Neighbor started mulching leaves as soon as I climbed up. I then climbed back down. Not my day.

I am feeling pretty dejected. Spent the last three hours trying to find a tree that is good for this wind that will let me hunt this thciket. I have been up and down six trees to find no shooting lanes at height. As I was climbing out of the last one, the pull up rope slipped and my pack fell to the ground. Bow was attached. Pack hit first and took the fall. The bow seems to draw fine and I was able
To slow the roope a little. Got a tope birn doing it but I think it saved my bow from major damage.

Had buck chase a doe past me as I was trying a tree around noon. Nothing since them,
Four deer so far. Not the day I envisioned.

Good grief. I haven’t seen a deer in 2 days. This guy is sitting on his porch watching a live episode of Realtree Outdoors!
