Heard leaves rustle by me so i look over and directly down wind this yearling doe gets out of bed lol. She was bedded 25 yds from me. Guess i did good getting in here quietly
Another small one as I was getting down. Be back at it Saturday morning. Good luck everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
At white pine stand. Had some wild rose to deal with. Fresh tracks and trails a few beds right infront of it. Winds are switching though. Probably why I see beds here. I've shot my first ML deer from here and my first compound camp doe from here as,well. Though never a mid day hunt..so we shall see. Loved to see a bear. Which I have also seen here.
Climbing down in 30 min. Going to doc then to see gpa at the nursing home this eve. Ill be heading an hour south tomorrow morning
Since I wasn't hunting yesterday, got my electric winch up in my garage to make it easier to butcher deer. At work today, hopefully back out tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

I have got to get me a kayak like that. It would open up some great opportunies for me in a couple of spots where there is no good way to walk in.
Good job BHH. Damn I wish I could shoot a doe in this zone. Sweet rig VS. I got in right at legal time like I always do. It took about 10 more minutes (gloomy) before it was light nuff to shoot. A lone fawn was it until I was getting ready to bail.was getting wet. On more scan and I seen movement on the neighbors 100 yards north. So I held tight knowing they'd be heading onto my land for the day. Took about 5 minutes and it was a doe being trailed by a stunning but young perfect 4x4. I grabbed my bow and was SO tempted then I remembered the 2 bucks here I Really wanna kill. I'm guessing he's a 4 year old. Seen him on cams but first time real. If he stays a straight 4x4 next year he could be a STUNNER. so, back at the cabin and it's been light rain and I got bored. I have a steel 5x5 frame I welded up 2 years ago for a deer blind and never got around to finishing it. Brainstorm..., the deer the past few years have started using an area about 60 yards from my cabin as a major travel route. I looked out at the steel frame and, I had some plywood, put a roof on it, mudded it up when done. Got a buddy in town bringing me some camo burlap for wrap. Didn't know how to attach it but I figgered some magnets would work (for this year). He'll be here shortly and I'll find out. I'm soaked n cold but. Will post pics when done. That's my cabin in the background.
