I’m back in a tree. I’m lucky I took yesterday afternoon off. I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat and feeling pretty crappy. I took it easy all day and I don’t feel so bad now.

I cannot do week long hunting trips YET, but I do get out of work early enough to hunt the afternoon. Sat down just before 4 and almost immediately had 2 does in the field 300 yards nw of me. Ne wind tonight...or east, but just a tickle of wind. Have 2 hours of shooting, only takes 10 seconds. Cheers!

I was just thinking about that. Damn its close to 60 degrees today haha. The chaos that happened after I watched my buck crash, get up and start running while it was raining down giant snow flakes. I was going to sit on the cut corn field but they plowed a lot of it under. FIL said he saw a nice buck a couple hundred yards from the stand near the swamp so said screw it. Wind is terrible for the stand but it’s my only day to hunt this week before the bad front moves in before the weekend. It’s November and anything can happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm sorry that actually makes me feel better. I can believe it's not JUST me....Good Luck! I'm looking to change my luck at camp. Car is packed trunk was cleaned out and tarp put down. Freezer bag is near basement door to remind me to fill it full of ice packs. Car has lots propel and the extra charger for phone is being charged. Just deciding on boots with over rubbers or the knee high rubber boots. I remember all too well sinking up to my ankle in the underground stream last year. It should be a river after this year's rains....I'll take both.
