2 small towns by me have named bridges after a service member who passed away in the last 15 years. And one of those towns has also created banners with the likeness of local service men and women. They have them attached to the light poles.

When speeding in Indiana, usually double-digits equals tickets. The ISP motto is '9 is fine, 10 you're mine'

Had more than a few in my youth. Only States I've ever gotten tickets in are Indiana and once in Harlingen Texas and that was expressly because I was a gringo, he as much told me so.

I'm pretty lucky here. We have our few ingrates - but my office staff and daily drivers are not included.

My son is up his dog is staying at the house when we go to the game. Grandson is over for the weekend too. Uncle Nick taught Landon to say Go Pack Go, not real clear but we will work on it.

Was up early this morning about 8:00 I hear the grandson yelling Grandpa, time to get up. Sat in the chair with him while he had his cup of warm milk.

I had a little old lady call me yesterday in a frazzle. She asked if I could help her fill out her check over the phone - as her husband used to do it and he was no longer there. Although, it took 20 minutes, my heart shattered into a million pieces as we chatted. I just wanted to go to her house and give her a big hug.

Hung out with some old Air Force buddies tonight. Some I haven't seen in 18 years. Lots of laughs and do you remember when's. They'll be in town for a few days and should be very interesting.

I've been on 2 different midnight shifts over the past 7 yrs after switching from evenings. So the mornings I am exhausted. Being on vacation I was able to make my daughter a good breakfast and talk with her. Best in life.

    I hated midnight shifts.

When I got to my duty station while in the Air Force, we worked each shift for a month (which had been reduced from 2 months) Then someone had the bright idea that there would be a permanent day shift and everyone else would rotate 2nd and 3rd shift. So, it became work 3 days on 2nd followed by 3 midnight shifts then 3 days off.
