Well my kiddo just tested positive for covid so I'm heading to get a test right now. Looks like I'll have the next 10 days off to hunt if I can climb a tree

I went to hit the like button but.... Let's hope for a negative test and you still need to quarantine so you can get a little extra time in the woods. Any sign of the "monster"?

No sign but I haven't pulled cards and they just cut the corn so the game just changed. I'll be out the rest of the week so I'll let you know

I missed one three years ago. He still comes to meet me in my dreams about September 30th every year.

Sat two diff stands Saturday. Two deer before shooting light, nothing else from both stands. Going for Friday evening and Saturday again. Vacation may start next week, but for sure the week of Veterans Day.

Got my doe back from the processor. She weighed in a 150 field dressed. Now, I wished I had bought an HME scale for trophy doe contest.

I tried to buy one twice and everyone was out of stock. I guess their marketing scheme worked. :)

My hunt last night was awesome and terrible... Awesome in the sense that the conditions were literally perfect. Might have been one of the most beautiful/peaceful/focused sits of my life. Terrible in the sense that it produced zero deer movement what so ever. I am taken back... Wind was literally better than I could have ever imagined it would have been for that stand - checked it multiple times. Deer just didn't move for me. Back to the drawing board.

I know that feeling Twitch. I've had two of those style evening sits this year only to get nothing accomplished except for a peaceful night in the woods... and an all black honey badger sighting. Which, in itself was pretty cool because he came back to his little home in a tree stump with a dead critter in his mouth.

Didn't see a lot of movement here yesterday or last night compared to the day before. I wouldn't give up on that spot after one day! Stay after them.

Congrats again to TBlzr!!! Did he find her?

Nice work Trlblzr! Looks like a good deer for the freezer. Good job getting it entered.

I'm heading back to the deer stand tonight. I am likely going to be on a doe mission and if a shooter happens to walk through good for him. But I'm going to see if I can get a doe on the ground.
