This was my beautiful morning with the temp change..... yes I see there are does there but after they stopped running they were at 47 yards. Just not comfortable at that range and had a stupid camera arm in the way to boot! Great second sit of 2021 though.

Buck down. I'll send better pics later. Had to go back to the truck to get pack and pick up a buddy. 20211017_191942.jpeg

was at in laws today, father in law pulled couple chips yesterday and tells me got clear picture of buck with extra main beam, same camera location near one of our stands.
I click through and dont find it. He said he was deleting raccoon pictures and must have accidentally deleted it. Ugh, I want more pictures of that deer!

I went back to the spot where I had a couple doe back in early October. This time I walked 40 yds or so and found a massive crossing. I sat there and saw 3 does early but didn't come by. Then at 645 a small buck was walking in the swamp behind me. He swung around, and was in the thicket that was in front of me. I lost sight of him and then heard something go run off and thought he spooked, but then saw a deer walking over there. I heard a a bunch of noise in the thicket, but had no idea what was going on. I put my bow on my lap just incase something happened. Alittle after 7 this guy came trotting to the path in front of me. Didn't have much time to judge him but I told myself he was good enough. I stopped him at 12 yards or so. My shot hit him in the shoulder and dropped him. He was still moving so I put another one in him. First time using my frame pack, and it made the recovery a dream. I have all the meat in a cooler and the rack is in the freezer. I'll get it scored sometime this week. The first pic is the path in front of me.
