I'm walking in now. About 30 minutes in on the hike and soaked! Been sitting for 10 minutes here staring at my final approach. I got about 100 yards to go, but it's directly in the center of bedding. This might take me a awhile to get in there. Just sucks because it's going to be full sun for the last 40 yards. I post once setup. This should be a good hunt!

Massive scrape right outside the marsh of were I'm heading! That means I got a buck in here! This just got even better. Can't wait to see who's home!

Alright guys don't know what to do. This is a great spot for buck or doe. The plan tonight was to come in and try to take a doe. But I passed 4 fresh scrapes as wide as my bow on the trail into this swamp. Cut a big set of buck tracks and a load of doe tracks all walking past the tree I'm in. Now that I know a buck is in here do I wait him out? Or take first available doe that comes by? Most likely that buck is only 50 yards from me right now and would hear me shoot at a doe.

I say go for a buck, don’t blow it up on a doe. You can take one elsewhere !

But, what if it's a young 4 point with abnormally large feet?

Kind of what I was thinking. Not every day you run into sign like that. But never know could be a big spike! Haha. Guess will just the evening play out and see what happens. I did get word of a triple beam buck in the area, that would be cool to see!

If you thought that buck was farther out, by a lot I'd shoot a doe and try to make it a dropping shot. I shot a doe one year and had 4 buck come in trying to breed her. The last one I had to get down to retrieve her because he was rack attacking her.

I’m back in ! Seems like forever since I’ve been hunting. Kinda warm and a little buggy but wind is good for where I’m sitting. We shall see. Most likely wait for a buck but you never know. I have one doe tag left for this area.
    Let’s get this party started!!

Buck, because you can't eat the antlers. Take a doe elsewhere as this sounds sooo promising!
