How much do temps seem to make a difference? Is it regional that this makes the biggest difference? Reason I ask is because this last weekend was consistently in the 70's for me early morning, and I saw quite a bit of Buck activity. Moon phases and app predictors were saying it was bad time to hunt as well, so if all of that was the case, man its going to be a party where I was when all that lines up LOL.
Temps tend to pose a problem here. In my time in a tree with warm temps I hardly see much activity. So far this year has been brutal for me. Of the 10 days aloud hunting in my area. Highs have been mid 70. 10-15 degrees temp difference of the average. Camera activity was slow also. But picking up also now.
Finally up in a stand for the first time this year. On day 6 of COVID, but I feel good. Vaxed and got regeneron, so I don't expect to have many issues from what I've seen treating COVID patients. Feel pretty good, just fatigue easier, so if I take a shot tonight it better not have much of a drag job! Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
Monday and Tuesday mornings brother. I'm off those days but the deer Gods played a trick on me and sent me two days worth of trials on Mon and Tues. Sickos
Where's a good head cold when you need one....see what I did there...avoided that whole "C"word...lol
Live from the kitchen watching a hunt....the bald eagles have good memories...the wild turkey...not so much. Just watched one get hammered . How they don't kill themselves at those speeds is beyond me!
It’s 82 here today, but I decided to go out again anyway. I’m all set up. I don’t really expect to see anything but it beats sitting at the house.
Did you have worse symptoms early on? You take care of yourself, brother. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Not really, hadn't been any worse than a sinus infection mostly thus far. Keeping a close on eye on it, I've seen plenty of people overdue it in that window where people feel better, but I really haven't had it bad at all, considering. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
Been there. It takes a couple days off to get back to a normal sleep pattern too. So you'll be sleep deprived for hearings/ trails. I don't miss that. Best of luck to you
Doe and small buck feeding on the other corner of the field. One hour to go. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
I'm down and back at the house. All I saw was a bunch of squirrels and one neighbor's dog. I'm not sure which dog it was, but I scared the living crap out of it. About 15 minutes before end of legal light I heard something trotting in. I glanced over and was able to make out what it was and my heart sank. Anyway, it came almost right to the base of my tree and I growled. It froze. I growled again and it looked up. It stared at me for a few seconds and I threw my arms out wide and roared. That poor dog about turned itself inside out trying to get traction. When it did get traction it ran like it had been scalded. At least I got a good laugh out of this sit.
Haha! I love doing that! I get my neighbors dog all the time. So what's your next planned hunting trip? We're you going next Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
