I'm sitting in a tree, 75 degrees out wind from the south at 11 mph. Not good, or I could have a bear in my area. Oh wait I did have a pic of one in July from this very spot. Bloody Monday here we go
Good luck if you out this evening. I posted in my team thread over the weekend. My FIL passed Friday afternoon. His health had been a real struggle the last couple of years and the end was hard to watch, but ultimately for the best. my wife is an only child so she and I are having help my MIL adjust to her new life and resolve affairs. I probably won’t be doing much hunting this year now, but one of those times more important things need to take precedence. Treasure every moment you get in the woods and with those you love. This life is too short to not make the most of every opportunity.
Sorry to hear that. The whole 'better place' comment never helps much with the void that a passing creates. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I’m all set up. I have 3 cameras on the side of this ridge. Its been a week since I checked them. One had about 20 pics, one had 10 and the one closest to where I’m at had 222. I’ll have to look at them now.
We're in. That's about the only positive to this scenario. 83°, sweating my butt off, swirling wind, chased deer out of the field on arrival. But hey...it's my boy's first time hunting!
I've been playing the hunting lottery for 30 yrs now. Why cant I be the guy that arrows a 150 on crappy public land on Oct 11? Come on you sob
Take care of your family and dont worry we know you’ll be back. Until then…. We’ll hold the woods down for ya! God bless
So sorry to hear brother. I wish there were words that could take the pain away for you, your wife, and Mil. Your family is in all of our thoughts and prayers my friend.
Very sorry to hear that brother. My condolences to you, your wife and family. Sent from my SM-G781V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Momma doe and her twins popped by. It's like they know when you aren't gonna shoot. Sent from my SM-G781V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app Edit to say also had a lone doe come by just out of range. All in the last 45 minutes. The yearlings were in range 20 minutes.
I have a ton of doe movement at all hours and some small bucks. This is the biggest buck I’ve gotten on camera here. He sure isn’t much. I know that the big guys will show up for the does before too long though.
Wow the wind really picked up! Not supposed to last long, but we are talking the weather. Who knows. Sent from my SM-G781V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
