Same! I need to be hunting terrain that promotes deer movement. I will be in a few weeks when it cools down, but the early season sucks because I wouldn't be able to get that deep and successfully recover a deer before it spoils.
500 watt 48 volt. Up to 20 mph and over 30 miles on 1 charge. Weight limit is 330 which is alot higher then typical electric bikes. Fat tires to handle trails. Headlight and fenders which many bikes also do not come with. Going to attach a deer cart to the back rack with some type of homemade connector. Did alot of research and this one has good power and you get alot for the money. Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I’m out!! Hunting from the ground tonight. Feels weird!! Should be great spot though. They are cutting corn on the neighbors and I’m at the tip of the thick patch of woods they come to.dug a blind into an overgrown corner at tip of woods looking at beans and corn. Have to admit, after posting this, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Had to fast for the blood draw so I was eating some breakfast catching up and realized I literally only have two more weekends before it's go time regardless of temps. Last weekend and now this weekend being damn near 90 degrees had me couch bound and not even interested in getting out there. It also had me procrastinating getting chit done to be ready, mostly being my truck. Finished my coffee and went outside. Officially done. Fresh spark plugs, oil change, air filter, wiper blades, and front pads and rotors. Filled the wiper fluid but this time I did not put the remaining bottle in the back of the cab. Ain't have that nasty stuff spill again during season
Don't pull a me. Back after Katrina when gas got over $3 a gallon and eventually $4 I bought a beach cruiser with a China 2 stroke on it. 50+ miles per gallon. Road that thing a lot the night I got it and then rode it to work the next day, bragged to everyone about the gas mileage and how much it was going to save me. Next day was riding to work and ran out of gas half way there, right before the two hills and pedaling that thing with the extra weight and drag from the chain and clutch was even worse. That was kinda embarrassing, luckily work had some 40:1 and let me fill it up. Took quite awhile before the ribbing stopped though Can't imagine what pedaling that thing with a trailer and big doe/buck in tow.
Well I’m in the stand in Tennessee, haven’t hunted since opening weekend. It’s been slow here, temps high, raining for 5 days straight. Just got a slight break in the rain this evening so going to give it a go. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
They sell extra batteries for folks who worry about such things. They do cost a fortune though and I didn’t get one. With a 40 mile range on a single charge and a viewable battery gauge I didn’t see any need for one.
If you have those temps and somehow they slide down into the low 40s or even 30s one morning you are off I'd say slip into doe bedding for a few hrs in the morning. Big opportunity for a buck.
Google searched myself and could only find pics of the tank after I added the decals and skull on the cap. The decals were reflective, damn photobucket watermarks
