Those are same reasons why I remain unvaccinated and antimandates. Personal choice is the best choice. I just got released from COVID quarantine three days ago. Baed upon my experience with it, I will never vaccinate for this. It wasnt bad enough to justify it.
My employer requires vaccination as a company over 100 employers, there really is little any personal choice for many. Not a fan. Early signs/studies seemed to show benefits of the vax...I've made my decisions and will live with them.
Want to hear some bull ****? My wife got tested yesterday at school, they are not sending it in till Friday. If she tested positive there is nobody to take her spot and her coworker is out with covid.
I am more than willing to live with consequences of my choices and I am happy to support those who feel a different choice is better for them. Freedom to choose is how it should be.
The local hospital owned offices already have this mandate for the flu season. If you do not get a flu shot, you have to wear a mask during "flu season" - it's like October-March. It's no big deal. I don't have an issue with masks at all. Do they get annoying? YES! I hate my glasses constantly fogging - but it doesn't make me so pissed that I throw a tantrum over it. Heck, during the state mask mandation, I never got sick. Usually I get a winter cold - nope, not this past winter. I do hate that I get to the door and have to turn around because I forgot it - but that's just my brain not remembering this new normal. If this got us away from having to put an unknown long term injection into our systems, I'd be 100% okay with it. I know it'd save our business from folding due to no employees (about half of our employees will not get vaccine).
So my wife is being FORCED to get the shot. She has until Nov. 1 to have her first shot. So much for my body my choice In Venatione Veritas
Yes, big government telling us how to conduct our day to day lives is of course the best answer. They only ever have our best interests in mind and are much smarter than we are. We should all just succumb to their wonderful intellect and only eat, sleep, recreate, and conduct any and all of our day to day activities as they see fit. We'll be so much better off that way. How can anyone have a problem with this?
That's where folks go off the rails, day-to-day life control when we are in a pandemic that has not happen sine 100 years. Here a little tidbit for you, no one really cares what you do in your day-to-day life. Sorry, Sota I forgot you would not wear a seatbelt since they do not work 100% of the time. People still die and get hurt while wearing them, and people have died because they wore them, where they may have lived if they have not had them on.
Some interesting conversations where I work regarding the mandate for government employees and contractors.
