It was a great feeling, Dan and I know I sometimes brag a little. But at my age, if I can just inspire one person to make changes it's worth it!

We hiked that portion of the AT around Clingman's a couple years ago. Quite the view!

Hope you ventured down to Cherokee to see the elk while you were in the neighborhood.

Jim has been a great motivation for me to keep my (~60#) weight off...

Definitely, its something that is easy to overlook. It didn't affect my performance in the moment but 24 hours later I was sore. I have points for elk in Wyoming that I plan on using. I need to make sure my elevation game is on point when the time comes.
Not bragging at all Jim. More people need to realize being out of shape is a choice and they can choose to get in shape and make their lives better. Walking around down town Gatlinburg was depressing.
As I age and start to deal with more joint issues etc knowing guys like you are still grinding away and getting after it is huge. I love seeing and hearing about people getting after it. It inspires me and gives me hope.
Sadly we didn't make it down there this time. They were doing some paving in the park and the single lane created some traffic that we weren't going to be able to deal with.
I have been dealing with Meralgia Parasthetica for a bit and sitting in a car can be challenging sometimes.

off to the gym for another bro workout (back/bi/core). Stay after it!

Last week I did a presentation called "Shoulder Savers" for work. It is about improving shoulder mobility and posture. I have posted the video below in case anyone wants to watch it. It is 32 minutes long and gives a great overview on shoulder health and simple exercises to keep the shoulders healthy.

I bought a Rogue Concept 2 rowing machine a little while back. Got busy and kinda forgot about it. Just started using it about a month ago and man. One of the best cardio workouts ive ever gotten on a machine. Getting my form down pat.

Soooo important. One of the most, if not the most, prone to injury joints. I always tell anyone coming into working out not to even think about heavy bench pressing until good foundation work on the shoulders has been done

Pretty lame week of training for me. Pretty much just going through the motions this week. I had a couple good BJJ training sessions but other wise no energy.
Today’s session incline hammer strength press, close grip pull ups, hypers, knee raises, ez curls. Shoulder abductors adductors, bike 20 minutes.

Sorry to hear, sounds painful. Good call laying low and letting it heal up.

What kind of wing loading do you guys typically fly? In the sport world the trend is to fly tiny over loaded canopies. I don’t, I prefer more fabric over my head.

360 sounds huge but with all that gear it probably doesn’t fly that big. I fly a PD Silhouette 210, I’m only 175lbs so it’s pretty docile. I have also flown PD Sabre (original) 170 when I was a kid.
Luckily I haven’t landed off in a long time. Pretty tough to do for us. Way more likely for you guys I bet.

Been doing my same bro workouts. Today was incline db press, pull ups, push ups, pull downs, cable curls, tricep extensions, lateral raise, and good girl/bad girls followed by 30 minutes on the spin bike at a casual pace. I really need to get back to a little running. BJJ has been good and as the weather changes and I'm forced indoors I expect to get more sessions in. I haven't taken any ibuprofen in over week so thats pretty cool.

    stay after it!

down to 205 this AM, boys. That's 20 full pounds in about 45 days.
Think I have kind of devolved from straight carnivore to a pretty minimal paleo (still not eating nuts or nightshades) but I have been feeling great. Also taking NAC.

That diet works the best for me. I did eat almonds and pistachios. I lost almost 60lbs in 90 days and i didnt work out one time. I was pushing 250lbs and dropped to 190. I need to be about 205….215-220 if im wanting to hulk and put on some lean muscle. Thats at about 9/10% body fat. Thats my zone. Too bad right now im about 30% body fat :sad:
