Guys tonight was the spookiest sit I have ever had. At 6:20 EVERY THING went dead quiet. I actually thought I had a sudden loss of hearing. . It scared me until I tapped the stand. I have NEVER experienced such an eerie feeling there was absolutely nothing, no rustling leaves, crickets ,birds, dogs, rodents running around. I strained to try and hear anything. Now mind you the woods were alive with noise just a moment before. Pilleted, dogs, the breeze in trees, crickets and chippers. All kinds of birds singing and Turkey talking. The silence lasted until 7pm. It was still "legal " hunting, but I couldn't make out anything 10 yrds away. . So I stood slowly and started turning to pack up when I saw fast movement 30 yrds out . The 2 doe from the field earlier(hubby said there hadn't been any other deer out in field). Then she blew...holy cow I nearly jumped out of the stand! Lol there had been no sound and her snort sounded like she'd used an amplifier.. I got so nervous walking home I left my arrow nocked as I slowly walked home...
