Got my stands all trimmed and brushed in yesterday and am pretty much ready to roll. Plots are young, but coming in nicely. Should be prime for October food source. I’ll be using my Elite Energy 35 for bow season but pulled the trigger on a Ravin R10 for my kids and late season hunting for me. I’ll also probably use it when I have N winds because I have two enclosed stands that aren’t conducive to drawing my bow too easily that are ideal for N winds. Gives me options at least and looking forward to getting my kids out bow hunting and hopefully their first bow deer on the ground.

Starting to get a little torn about shooting a doe opening day, I’ve been getting bucks on camera pretty regularly and don’t want to chance messing that up. But then again I don’t have enough self control to not let the air out of a big mature doe on a chip shot… lol
Lol well thats a gametime decision. I don't blame ya. I know I wouldn't be able to not let one fly. My tags burn holes in my pocket each year.
This guy showed up Friday night. Got most of my stands prepped today. Have 2 more I'll get done by next weekend.
