Hey Grommel, hope all is well out on the island. You folks got pounded with some rain.

Captain-I agree with Brandon. If anyone wants the job speak up. I’m able to do it if needed but I’m not looking to put more on my plate. I think we have a very capable team and we’ll be in the hunt to dethrone those wankers on team twelve

    I’ll think about some names.

No need to add to your plate unless your hungry for more stuff lol. If no one else wants the role of captain I don’t mind doing it. I’ll have lots of free time coming in the next couple of weeks once I finish up this house. If anyone wants to be captain then speak up because we need to get that done and over with.

Dan or Greg can have my vote for captain - but if someone else wants it - words have been said - speak up.

I personally don't want it, I just have way too much other things going on.

    Name ideas?

Okay, at noon tomorrow if no one else has said anything about wanting to be captain I’ll make that official with chief. I’ve sent a message to our missing team member yesterday so hopefully he’ll come around this weekend. And as for the team name I’m personally liking Kristens “Fearless Fours”.

I gotta catch up on some reading in our thread already. Off to a good start. Getting ready for dove opener tomorrow. Good luck if anyone is heading out to shoot some doves in the AM.

Our dove season opened up on the first but tomorrow will be my first time out. Most of the crops around here are still standing so I’ve gotta go with plan Z and hunt a sandy road along the river. Hopefully get to shoot a few in the beaks! Good luck to you bud and be safe

Good luck Slugger. I haven't dove hunted since I lost my lab. I really enjoyed it. Tasty little buggers.
Our early goose and teal season are open too but without a dog I have a hard time getting motivated to go out. That and I'm on call...

Good luck Greg I hope you pile them up!

I didnt even get my bird stamp this year. My husband is huge into waterfowl. If any of you are - you have to go to Saskatchewan. It was an amazing hunt and beautiful sight to see.

I’m a reformed waterfowl addict. I have been lucky enough to go to Saskatchewan a couple of times as well as Manitoba, Alberta, and Ontario. Definitely some phenomenal hunting up that way.

I reached out to him as well. We were teammates last year. He has some great properties and took some really great bucks.

Boy did we ever pile them up! Got a pile of two lol. Plan Z didn’t work out to well this morning either! It it was still fun to get out there and start the 2021-22 hunting season. Fortunately our season run until October 31st so sometime between now and October 1st we should have a pretty good shoot. Come December we get a month long dove season and that’s when it’s really good!

Bad day hunting is better than a good day at work. Glad you didn’t get skunked!

I haven’t been outside of Oklahoma to duck hunt but I sure have heard and seen videos about Saskatchewan! It looks absolutely amazing!

Most definitely! Back in my younger days I was all about getting them limits but now it’s all about the memories being made. Them two dove sure were a tasty lunch!
