Trying to get to my 50 post so I can get picked up by a team that’s needs a shooter!! So that being said less then a month in NY till season

So this one time at band camp….. lol you know how that story goes right? But no this one time I was duck hunting my local lake an we are allowed to use the shore line of the county park to set up blinds and what not. So I am in my make shift behind some trees. And I see this girl walking over to my decoys. She calls her bf over and they start taking selfie’s with my decoys in the water lol so I start using my call and she’s getting all excited until I shot at one and missed and I think she pooped herself a little

 

Can you clarify what you shot at? A duck, decoy, or her?

 

So, I'll help you get to 50 - what part of NY do you hunt?

 

oh yes I shot at a duck that was at giving my spread a look at about 35 yds

 

I started out hunting in Cayuga county in the Auburn area and southern Cayuga area now I live across the street my fiancé’s parents in Onondaga that own 35-40 acres and I deer hunt that and our 4 acres[/QUOTE]

 

Are you saying you shot over her? Ducks were coming in with her in your spread? I believe this is how conflicts start and hunters get bad names.

 

So they were behind so I was shooting in a safe safe direction. She was 15-20 yds behind me and 10 behind my spread so no where’s near the shot or direction

 

Okay... so, what bow do you shoot?

 

Right now I am shooting an elite ember with 340 spine gold tip arrows and a trophy ridge 4 pin sight this will be my second year bow hunting

 

I follow you, I use to run that area for waterfowl back in the day.

 

I would never take a shot towards a human just to scare them. I have way to much training and discipline to do something like that. If a duck wasn’t in my range I wouldn’t have shot at all I would have kept laughing at them

 

Depending on weather and the miragtion can be a real hot spot we dumped 300 plus birds one year

 

I aim to either please or put meat on the table lol

 

That’s one of perks from spending the last 9 years in the military lol
