My name is Jake, I'm from central MN, and will be hunting the family farm again this year (50 acres). I should have a lot more time to hunt this year because I'm now working from home 100% and the land is 10 miles from the house. Our season starts Sept 18 and runs through the end of the year. I've posted most of the deer I'm after this year in the Live from the stand thread, but I'll post them in here shortly.

I could care less about the team name (I'm the least creative guy when it comes to this stuff haha). I will let you guys decide that. Once a name is picked I can try and make us a banner.

Once we get everyone checked in we should vote on name. If they don’t check in soon I guess we could just send it regardless if they check in. I’m fine with whoever wants to be captain as well

Yep. Best to let everyone show up. There are definitely some folks who aren't super active on the forum, so it might take a week or till the weekend to get everyone on board.

Any of you have any other way to contact the guys not here yet? Josh Keller, Heartstopper and keepfallingup? Obviously Wedes' initial post should've alerted them, I was just wondering if anybody knows em.

I was kind of hopeful that I had found someone closer to home to work on my bow. Local guy that an acquaintance recommended. My buddy says he talked to him and he agreed to work on my bow, get strings on it, etc. Problem is, I have called and left messages on two occasions with no call back and time is running out on me. I guess I will go to my regular shop and hope they can get me fixed up before the 15th and on top of that, it looks like I'm going to be out of town for at least next week. I swear it is really hard to get people who work on stuff or provide a paid service to even call me back these days. Heck, I can't even get a VA rep to call me back. Tried 3 different ones. I swear I just need to spend the money on a press, arrow cutter and fletching jig, so I can just do it all myself.

I was in the same boat two weeks ago. The guy I been using for years, 30 minutes from me. Never responded to me when I asked if he could order me some more arrows and take a look at my bow. Had to to go to a new guy hour and a half from me. He customized some arrows for no extra charge and fixed my bow up. Finally found a new bow tech that actually responds

Just want to confirm, the first buck we shoot has to be the one we count correct? I ask bc if I shoot a black tail this week, it will score small and I should get a chance at a Missouri whitetail that will inevitably score higher. I don’t care either way just curious if I can hold off logging a black tail.

Yeah If you shoot a black tail first then you’d have to put it up first. I’m sure I speak for most when I say we don’t care the score, as long as you’re happy shoot it! Even if you shoot a big whitetail later, it’ll still be 50 points for us so it’s gonna help either way

Oh I’m not like passing on a black tail they are way harder to hunt. If I get one in front of me I’m sending it. Haha just want to make sure I understood the rules. I usually get a doe in Missouri and almost always have a chance at a buck but I think I have a few black tail bucks figured out, key word being think.

Good evening guys, checking in here. My name is Shane and I live in Southern WI. I've been bowhunting for 7 or 8 years now. I do not have stellar hunting spots to speak of. A couple small private pieces and then public. I was on the winning team last year despite not shooting a deer myself but hopefully some of that luck pours over to this team! Almost killed a public land slammer during the rut last year but a doe sneezed and he freaked out 10 yards before crossing my shooting lane at 17 yards. It still hurts. Looking forward to the season and hopefully getting a deer this year.

What's everyone shooting? I'm on the mobile app and can't see signatures if it is there. I shoot a Hoyt Helix, 70#. Been thinking of going back to Mathews, but no real hurry to since I love my Hoyt. I've just heard great things about the V3.
