Finally going to the Hub Supper Club for the wife's birthday kids will all be there. August 7th they are all staying at the lake that night. There is nothing better than when my kids and grandson are all under one roof.

Takes hundreds of thousands to get to grandkids that is why we appreciate them, they are cheap compared to kids. I told my daughter tonight that the grandson gets to eat a fire fighters meal you can eat desert first just in case.

Sometimes do you ever just sit and think about how much you love your kids? Today I sit here and think of my youngest who is soon to be 13. Man I love that girl. We have barely seen each other for 2 weeks bc of work and her being out of town doing stuff. I get an indescribable feeling when thinking about my little buddy.

Daughter called and asked if she could come over and bring a couple inlaws with, yep no problem have 8 pork chops marinating. I don't care who she brings as long as the Grandson is with. Crap just remembered I didn't get the wading pool filled now I am going to have to carry buckets of warm water from the house to fill it.

Back home in NC for the week! Man I miss these hills. Mom and dad get to see the kids and I get to relax for the most part.

Go "adopt" a young neighbor kind. One from a hot single mom-Mrs D doesn't have to know about the hot single part...if ya know what's go for ya.

We did it with our older boys and my dad in Montana earlier in the month, great fun! The only drawback is that my youngest was too young and my mom missed it to watch him. We will definitely be doing it again in the future.

My youngest decided to go to Notre Dame high school. Time to dig out the navy and gold again.

Drove through some old stomping grounds of mine yesterday. An old friend of mine used to love Matchbox 20 in the 90s. Seemed like every time we were drunk she would want to play their songs over and over. We would all tell her NO Monica we ain't doing any dang more, but she was always so happy we just relented and laughed. Haha. I always thought she was one of the coolest people I'd ever met. Some half asian/white redneck girl with a raspy country accent and could drink beer with the best of them. Anyways she got remarried and moved to Florida a few years ago. I miss her a ton. Well I was driving those backroads yesterday and a Matchbox 20 song came on as I was out in the sticks. Brought back some good memories. Her Dad did real well for himself and they bought themselves a nice house in a big neighborhood full of people with money. One morning I woke up hung over and my friend and I were just sitting around eating breakfast when her dad started complaining about the guys that cut the neighborhoods grass. He was the President of the hoa. My older brother had worked for a decade in the lawn business and was just starting his own business. He was driving a little red car around with a trailer and 2 walk behinds. I told my friends dad about my brother and they set up a meeting. My brother drove up that little car of his and loaded up every piece of equipment he had to make himself look important! Haha. Old Max and my brother kicked it off over Dale Earnhardt and the rest is history....he signed a contract to cut the grass in that neighborhood. My brother went from going in and out of jail and struggling financially, to within 2 years of that meeting, owning his own house. To this day he will day say that meeting between him and old Max was the changing point in his life...that neighborhood paid him a huge amount of money each month and within a short period of time he had bought his first F150.

I know..some tangled memories. But they sure felt good.

most of my neighbor kids live in a home with one dad and 2-4 harem 'wives'. They may or may not be hot but I will never know because they are not allowed to show their faces in public.
