I used it for a season that way and believe me, not ideal. Not bad, but not ideal. If you leave it up and hunt from the same spot for several sits in a row no biggie, but to lock it in you need to add some additional ratchet straps and that takes time and makes noise. You do that a lot and you might as well have a hang on.

I stumbled across a post I made in September 2017 and I’d forgotten about this video as I no longer have it stored anywhere at home. I had shot a doe in Kentucky and the shot just happened to take place right in front of my Covert trail camera. I drew as the doe was walking off screen. Another doe busted me and blew. The doe I was targeting bounced out but stayed on screen. I absolutely love the sounds of the shot and impact on this video.
I'll freeking guarantee to you... If that deer was running along a road in MN, someone would pound it out the window during gun srason.
