Anyone have any experience with the Obsession bow brand? Heard they got bought out so might be able to find a couple archery shops looking to get rid of old equipment for cheap. Thoughts?
Looks like they got bought out last summer by Martin, but the original owners still lead the brand. They have a 2021 lineup. Their website and FB pages are up to date and active. They still have a pro-staff doing competitions and shows this summer. Looking at the 21 lineups, I would much rather own an Obsession than a Martin. Much higher performance specs at lighter weights in the Obsession lineup vs. the Martins. my buddy shoots one, can't remember the name but it's about 4 years old I think. I know my buddy is pretty cheap so I am sure it's not their flagship- probably more in the $6-800 range. He likes it and I know it's pretty fast. I would shoot it but I'm a lefty and he's not. Sorry not much more help.
Interesting. I think my brother is getting ready to pick up an obsession turmoil, 2019 model. He's a lefty too... And he's getting a full setup minus the stabilizer for $350. Pretty friggin good deal if the brand of bow is good, and sounds like it is.
I would have the same look in a Powerball winner photo I hate having my picture taken and hearing my voice on a recording equally lol
Literately what i said. Some archery shop in Dallas. Cinnamon creek ranch... And yes it's new, they had an extra frame they needed to get rid of.
I have an obsession bow, first bow kill with it’s a sniper version, great bow. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting .com Forums
I have 4 Obsessions and 2 others bows all designed by Kevin Strother. They are super smooth, whisper quiet, Fast and tack drivers. Highly recommend checking the older models out. Pre 16' models all come with LIFETIME TRANSFERABLE WARRANTIES . Sent from my LM-K500 using Tapatalk
That is good to know. Definitely going to keep my eyes open for this brand moving forward. I know the rig my brother got looks really nice. I am not left handed, or left eye dominant, but I will definitely be anxious to try his out next time I see him. Still can't believe he got this for $350:
You can pick up used older models real cheap. $250-450. Put some new threads on it and you're golden. Sent from my LM-K500 using Tapatalk
