I'm sure they understand that, but most don't care. It's the belief you're supporting the lesser of two evils. While these roads may go in different directions, fundamentally both sides want them to end up in the same place. It's simply a question of which road will actually get you there.

Notice the timing? 2 days after Breyer said he wasn't retiring. Now that Breyer burst their bubble, they're going to try to impeach Kavanaugh with a new regime in place.
