Sounds like you will some great hunting this year. This thread is a great one with lots of action once seasons start. It will give you the motivation to get out there! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
They are talking about Virginia having a limited lotto Elk hunt in the future. They have a growing herd in the southwest.
I can't wait to start complaining on here, would love to have another November like 2018 here. Late season gear in November never gets old.
2018 was my best year ever. Wouldn’t mind even a near repeat of that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Killed my biggest buck to date Nov. 7th of that year, snowed on Halloween and lasted most of the month.
I remember that snowstorm. We had just moved into the new place a month or so before and I was dragging a deer when the snow hit. I was skinning and quartering that deer outdoors in a blizzard
I will be hunting Benton for half of it and up north in Shelby county for the other half of the ten days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That’s about what I said when he stepped out. I think I was pretty surprised to put an arrow in him bc of how much I was shaking. He ran 40 yds nov 8. Full pass through and bright red in the snow was easy. Biggest I have ever killed and ever will ha. The other one was thanksgiving morning. Old bruiser who was beating up a couple 1.5 year olds. He ran directly underneath me before I saw him ram out to 80 yds. I snort wheezed him back. First time that worked for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That first one is a heck of a buck! Here's mine from the day before yours, was a good year even though it was the only deer
I put in for Arkansas elk every year. It is pure lottery and only 30 or so permits per year. 14 years on applying without drawing. Good thing it is only $5 to apply.
I put in for the Wisconsin elk tag every year also. No points and straight random for the 5(give or take a few depending on they year) tags available. Someday I will get the call…
