I believe everyone has a finite amount of miles rucking before their body says nope. I feel between hunting and work, I am rapidly approaching that number Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A sad day today. Sons FIL suddenly passed away. He was an avid bow hunter, great guy to talk to and fun to have at camp. His grandsons adored him and our son was very close to him May God Grant you eternal peace
Went for a few hikes in Glacier National Park while on vacation. Nothing too strenuous, short hikes with the kids. Longest one was five miles. The other two were less than three miles. Did some kayaking every day while at the lake house. Did a light met-con workout today as the first day back in the gym. I am hoping I sleep better tonight. First night of sleep at home last night and I tossed and turned. My brain did not want to rest knowing the alarm was set again.
Been steady with workouts. Picking up the volume and dropping some of the weight to get ready for deer season. Did a couple days of two a day workouts last week. Incline walks in the morning followed by weights in the evening. Felt good.
I had to watch my grandson all week last week so I only got 1 workout day in. I hit it hard today and man I really felt it afterwards. It's unbelievable how taking just a few days off will affect you. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Power cleans with a new pr, squats, lunges, and sprints yesterday. Today: Bench, rows and hills spin class on the echelon bike. Looking forward to active recovery with yoga and core tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
140 flights is still a great workout! I got in 184 flights in 30 minutes this morning. The leaderboard on the machine is at 305 for this week. If I had more time I would have gone for it, but I had to get to stupid work.
Do I need to speak to Todd? Good job! Are you doing the stairs with a pack or have that in the plans?
No pack for now. Most days I'll do a tabata-style workout where I walk freehanded for 20 seconds, then rest by using the side rails on the machine. It's amazing how much of a difference that makes, especially at the higher speeds. I'll probably do some weight pack hikes outdoors as we get closer to the season.
Met-con today: KB Squats, 20, 30, 40, 50 reps then KB Swings 50, 40, 30, 20 reps. Between each set of squats and swings I hit the rower for a two minute sprint. Sprint goal was to row 500 meters or better in the two minutes. I did 25 pull ups and push ups afterwards. I got the workout from Mountain Tough Fitness. They are an outdoor recreation training company in Montana. The two owners are hunters.
Damn, you guys are killing it!!! Meanwhile, on the fat farm, I'm still doing my 3 1/2 mile walk daily with a 30-pound ruck..
