We took A.J. to daughters where he was chased around by a little Boston terrier. It was so funny and he had a blast getting that little guy to chase him. At one point A J. Followed him under the table out side and we watched the boston full paw slap A. J. across the face. Hubby and I almost fell out of our chairs laughing. He's nearly 80#'s now and the Boston was a bit more 12#'s. He was so careful not to hurt the little guy. We were so proud of him, even when he tried playing corn whole with us. It took a few outy! But he learned not to retrieve the bean bags..lol
Iowa buck tag came in the mail the other day. I’ve been continuing my shoulder rehab exercises while trying to slowly get some strength back. If my scapula would play nice I would be back in business. I’ve eased up on the running and have been doing Jacobs ladder and the rowing machine to keep my upper body moving and give my knees a break. Ribs are still pretty sore so I have kept the BJJ stuff to drilling and some chill flow rolls. stay healthy and stay after it!
Thanks Jim. It would be pretty cool but I’m not going to get my hopes up. Speaking of giants, how’s your buck inventory looking?
I have several bucks running around that may not end up being too bad. And then there's this guy that I got last week. Forgive the pic quality. My wife had to really enhance the light to make the rack more visible. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
One of the stair master machines at my gym has a "leaderboard" feature that keeps track of the highest amount of floors climbed and calories burned in the last week. There's a guy at my gym who is a beast and he's always on top of that leaderboard. So today I decided I wasn't getting off the machine until I beat him. 45 minutes, 261 floors, 753 calories, and I'm on top (for today anyways) 45 minutes later and I'm still sweating.
That’s awesome, more gyms should have that to motivate people. Well done, I got back to the gym this week and I’m changing my eating habits, I eat on the road from job to job usually junk to eat quick and get back to it. I been packing my lunch and doing both cardio and free weights. Feels good to be sore, I need to cut back on brews when I get home. That’s my kryptonite!!
I’ve been slowly bringing the weight up on some of my pressing lifts. Feeling pretty good about the progress I have made. Full body program, today was warm up with shoulder internal/external rotation. Knee raise, hypers, hammer strength Inc press, low row, high row, Body weight squats, tricep extensions. 20 minutes HIIT on jacobs ladder 2 min/jump rope 1 min repeat. I’ve gone to two yoga classes and plan to continue that. Good warm up to Wednesday night no-gi BJJ training. Stay after it!
I've never tried yoga but some of the guys at my gym say it's killer. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
One of my sons used to work at a yoga studio... He's said the same. Good for mobility/flexibility. Some studios interject a lot of woo woo...
I started doing yoga bc my body was beginning to break down. My job is pretty rough on it. I do it twice a week. Feel much better and all my numbers have gone up. The weird granola eating talk is weird but I just ignore it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s challenging. Trying to get into a pose, and then maintain your balance will get you sweating. The class I go to is pretty chill nothing weird about it thankfully.
Momma needed sleep so after Bible study, our two week old got some reps in with dad this morning. Next Tia-Clair toomey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Added 10 pounds to my ruck/backpack today. Completely whooped my butt. I was only able to do 2.75 miles. Ugh!
Keep at it! I did 5.5 miles this morning with the pack, but I'm done around sunrise... Just gets too hot. Though, it's about time for me to add more weight.
Nice!!! I usually go around 6am to beat the heat too. I couldn't go this morning because of Elsa. Well, I could have, but I hate the rain with a passion, almost as much as the heat. I'm up to carrying 28 pounds with the pack included.
