I put in for Kansas this year for the first time. Found out a few days ago I drew out! Time to start making a few trips up north to look around. What about you guys? Anyone draw this year?
Waiting on Iowa zone 5 , I have 4 points so I should be good. If not then I’ll be hunting Ohio and Pa like usual. I applied for KS and didn’t draw last year, I know your pain haha.
This was our first year to ever put in for Kansas and we both pulled a tag. I always heard it was pretty good odds. I did read on their site that they had a record number of entries this year.
My bad I thought you meant you didn’t draw, they do have good odds from what I heard too. Good luck! There’s a bunch of public lands around.
I drew a archery deer tag here at home. I got a rifle deer tag for Idaho. In July I will find out if I drew an elk tag in Idaho. At the end of June I’ll find out if I drew a cow elk tag for here at home.
With 13 preference points, finally drew an elk tag in Wyoming Unit 63/64 for September Archery and then a late two week rifle hunt 1st half November if unsuccessful during Archery season. About 50-75 miles southeast of Yellowstone so we will be in the high density grizzly country which will be my 1st experience hunting amongst grizzlies.

What part of Montana will you be in? I'm not familiar with much of it, but the area from Lolo Pass to Missoula is beautiful country!
General tag, we're trying to figure out which specific area(s) now... Seems like west /west central... I've got a short list of 16 units in regions 3, 4 and 5.
I called today. They don’t have a set date but I was told results will be posted 2-3 weeks from app deadline date
I’ll have to try again next year for Iowa. I was unsuccessful. Looks like I will be hunting my home state and Illinois.
