Interesting! I bet 80% of those states have one thing in common... and the other state you would expect more cases because people are ok with living their life...

MN Health Commissioner Jan Malcom blamed people for spring break traveling for the uptick in cases in Minnesota, maybe they are tired of the stupid rules that MN has in place...

Is it the same five states that shoved COVID patients into nursing homes? Do tell.

New York, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey together reported 44% of the nation’s new COVID-19 infections, or nearly 197,500 new cases, in the latest available seven-day period, according to state health agency data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. Total U.S. infections during the same week numbered more than 452,000.

Imagine that, five of the highest population states have the highest number of cases. All those states have cities with higher population densities than the entire state of Arkansas. Its like living in a low population area reduces risk or something weird like that.

while pop density is obviously a factor, I don't think MI has that high of one.
Purely observational; but the fact that all of those blue and northern states just had Spring Break 2-3 weeks ago; and the non-blue state of FL is the top destination for said Spring Breakers....well, let's just say drunkass college-aged kids aren't known for social distancing.

Especially since the majority of these new cases are in younger people and also not causing a spike in hospitalizations...that's what I call an indicator.

That was a copy/paste from an AP article for 5 states equalling just under half the cases.

    ah, copy that.

IL is also way up there as heard on the radio this AM. Think they reported top 3 behind MI and NY.
    FAKE NEWS I guess, lol.

National news was dragging MI youth sports through the mud last night... Alluding to it as a contributor to the umpteenth breakout.

They did stop short of blaming that Gary guy

    That blows.
But since my wife is + I probably shouldn't be out drinking with the boys, anyway.

She's fine, just those 2 days. I've kept it at bay with a steady .07 BAC.

Going to Hawaii next month. Going to be quarantining for at least 10 days before the trip to ensure we don't get it (otherwise we can't go).

Got cleared to return back to work yesterday so back to somewhat normal life again. Kids are still quarantined from school and daycare until next Friday so mom is being a champ and working from home with them so I can get back to work since its really starting to pick up now. Only symptom is being more tired than normal. My dad got it during the same time and it has hit him a lot harder than it did me. Finally got him convinced to go in to make sure everything is alright. Today is the best he's felt in 2 weeks and mom said he's still probably only at 60% normal. Tough when we'll be planting before too long and calving could start any minute. Fingers crossed all is well later when he gets checked and is on the up swing with this covid BS.

Enjoy Hawaii I suppose anybody will once. I go every other year for work and I hate it, the long flight, crappy traffic. Biggest pet peeve is they play a lot of reggae music on the radio.
